AB Spring Service Inc has been repairing trucks in Grand Rapids, Michigan, since 1987. We provide repair, re-bush, and refurbish parts. We can replace your truck’s suspension components, including air ride, lift axles, and much more. Our team prides ourselves on our excellent service and same-day repairs in most cases. Established Oct. 1987

A group of long-time industry professionals came together in late 1987 to form a superior Spring Shop repair facility that focused on Leaf Spring repair and Suspension work. This group of mechanics had a vision to create a business other mechanics would send work to. Out of their years of industry knowledge and extensive experience AB Spring Service was formed.

After finding the right space with 7 service bays, AB laser leveled the floor, added drive over truck bays and overhead lifts. An alignment bay was added with the latest technology. Custom-built ovens were built to manufacture leaf springs of the highest quality. This resulted in a fully equipped repair area, which contains numerous 100ton presses and hydraulic assembly tables and has 10 full-service repair bays for any size commercial vehicle. 

AB Spring Service has built a superior reputation in the trucking and semi-trailer industries. This reputation has kept the business growing since 1987. In 2020, AB Spring Service added semi-trailer and box truck repair to its list of services and opened a second facility with 8 service bays dedicated to the semi-trailer industry. In addition, we added a fleet of 6 mobile service trucks that perform on-site repairs. New in 2025 we’ve added an additional 8 bays,which includes a full-service paint booth, plus 3 bays for our collision department and 4 additional bays dedicated to trailer and box truck repair.

The original owners are still involved in the business today. AB has numerous employees that have been with the company since day one. Your phone calls will be answered by employees with combined industry experience of over 150 years. Our mechanics are seasoned with numerous years of experience and trained and instructed by the founding members. AB Spring Service inventories parts and services vehicles from light-duty trucks to heavy-duty equipment. In addition, we service industrial, farm, construction, and commercial vehicles.
